"Dysbiosis" is a description, not a diagnosis. No guideline recommends treating a microbiome report.CLIA #45D2048957 · CAP #8722734 · Same-day results · Walk-ins welcome
It can be interesting. It is not diagnostic. These reports describe the relative abundance of organisms in your stool and compare you to a reference population. There is no established clinical guideline that says "this profile means take this drug" — and a report that flags "high bad bacteria" is not a reason for an antibiotic. It is, however, a very effective way to sell supplements.

The honest boundary

What it can doWhat it cannot do
Describe compositionDiagnose IBS, SIBO, IBD, or celiac
Show change over timeTell you which change caused which symptom
Fuel researchJustify an antibiotic or a supplement regimen

If your symptoms are real, the useful tests are the boring ones: pathogens, parasites, inflammation markers, celiac serology. Those change management. A microbiome pie chart usually does not.

Where the evidence actually stands

For probiotics and fecal microbiota transplantation, professional societies have taken clear positions — narrower than the marketing. See probiotics and FMT: the evidence boundary.

We name drugs, never doses. Treatment statements follow ACG, AGA, IDSA and CDC guidance; dose and duration are a physician's decision.
Same day, start to finish. Sample by 1:00 PM → results at 4:30 PM → if treatment is clinically appropriate, a licensed physician in our partner network sees you between 4:30 and 6:00 PM, a few minutes away. That window is reserved for patients tested here, and your slot is held the moment we take your sample — the slot is held, not hunted. On your own, a same-day appointment is nearly impossible; at an urgent care, you wait in the queue. STAT: ~2 hours, sample in by 3:00 PM.

FAQ

So it is a scam?
Not necessarily a scam — but it is being sold as a diagnostic when it is not one. That distinction matters.
What should I test instead?
Pathogens and parasites, inflammation markers, and celiac serology where indicated. Those are actionable.
Can antibiotics fix dysbiosis?
Antibiotics disrupt the microbiome; they do not tune it. Taking them on the basis of a composition report is a bad trade.
Do you sell supplements?
No. We are a laboratory.
