Urine Toxicology Testing At Auspicious Labs
We here at Auspicious Labs provide tests for physicians, larger companies, and individuals. It is common for us to get requests for drug testing. The preferred method that we use is urine testing. This not only allows us to detect a drug but also allows us to quantify the drugs.
In specific, the technology that we use is Initial Presumptive Screening and Confirmation Definitive. Both work hand in hand when it comes to determining if someone has used drugs and what that drug might be.
For this test, the customer comes in and pees into a small cup. This sample is then taken to the lab and tested accordingly. If you are looking for a specific drug, this can be requested when talking to a technician.
Why can you be asked for a test?
Requests for urine tests, specifically drug urine tests, can be asked for several reasons. A job can request for it or even a doctor. This can be because they want to make sure you are not abusing a substance. If you are in a substance abuse program, this is required for monitoring purposes. The list goes on and on.
Different Tests Available
Depending on the drug being searched for, the testing is different. Tests are done to check if a drug was used and how much was used. The technician can explain which is being used for you if you would like.
There is a particular cut-off mark that is met in order to get positive or negative tests. Anything below the cut-off mark is a negative result, and anything above is a positive result.
The screenings that we have available test for the following Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, Ethyl Alcohol, Methadone, Opiates, Oxycodone, Phencyclidine, and TCH-COOH.
The Validity testing we have includes Urine Creatinine, pH, Specific Gravity, and Oxidant.
Confirmation tests are used to examine what substance is used. Identified substances include Amphetamine, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Gaba Inhibitor, Illicits, Opiates / Opioids, Relaxant / Sleep Aid, Synthetic Opiates / Opioids, Tricyclic Antidepressants/ SSRI / SNRI, Alcohol biomarker, Bath Salts and K2(spice).
When can I get my results?
One of our goals at Auspicious Labs is to get your test results to you as fast as possible. We pride ourselves on accomplishing this task on a daily basis. It is usual for us to get people who need a test and want the results in a matter of hours.
For example, if you come in for a urine drug abuse test, the results will be ready in 24-48 hours. Our technicians in the lab will go through the process of examining the test and will have your test results ready for you as early as the next day. If samples are brought to us the next day, then your results will be ready the day after.
Depending on the type of testing you get done, your results will be ready are different. It is still our goal is to have your test results done and ready to be viewed 24-48 hours after you come in.
For Covid tests, we can have results ready on the same day. It usually takes about 4-5 hours after the test has been taken for the results to come back. If you are in a rush to the airport and need a test as soon as possible for your flight, we offer an airport rush Covid test service. With airport rush, results can be ready in a couple of hours so you can still make your flight.
